Acer Aspire S5 Ultrabook

Acer S5Acer has just announced Aspire S5 ultrabook today, which they claim as the “world’s thinnest ultrabook” only 15mm thick at the thickest point. The announcement comes just two days before the world’s biggest gadget show, CES, kicks off on Tuesday. Acer has marked the beginning of a fever a press conference that happens every year right before the show.

Acer Aspire S5 has a smaller 13.3-inch LCD. In the back ultrabook, there is an Acer calls “MagicFlip I / O,” which houses HDMI, USB 3.0, and Thunderbolt port. When you press the button MagicFlip, as the name suggests, it flips open and reveals that port.

Acer Aspire S5 is also the first Windows computer that features the Thunderbolt port, as it has previously only appeared on a Mac laptop, desktop, and displays. Thunderbolt port on the S5 allows transfer speeds of up to 20 Gbps. This makes it much faster than USB 3.0, FireWire 800, and eSATA.

Acer Iconia Tab A200 comes with a choice of color or Titanium Gray Metallic Red. The back of the tablet has a soft touch and finishing with a very unfortunate Namu Acer Iconia Tab A200 does not have a rear-facing camera, but there are only 2 megapixel camera on the front available for video calls.

Acer Iconia Tab A200 is expected to last for 8 hours of continuous video play with the built-in its 3260mAh battery. The tablet is not the thinnest on the market, because it has a size x12.4mm 260mm x 175mm (10.24in x 6.89in x 0.49in) and weighs 720g.

Acer TravelMate 2480-2153

The Acer TravelMate 2480-2153 is a basic laptop at a budget price. Don’t expect a lot of extras or terribly impressive performance for your $539, but if you need a notebook for e-mail, Web surfing, and office apps, it will suffice.

The TravelMate does pack several modest positives. For one thing, there’s the 14.1-inch wide-screen display. Its matte finish doesn’t allow for quite the vibrancy that glossy displays do, but even small text on the 1,280×800 panel is crisp and legible.
